13-year-old Janna Jihad—cousin of Ahed Tamimi—hails from the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh, famous for its resistance. As the world’s youngest press card holder, having begun reporting at the age of seven, she gives a voice to the children of Palestine who have grown up amid the violence of Israeli apartheid. Janna serves as Ambassador of the South African children’s rights organization Shamsaan who has brought her to the US for a one month tour. Along with this event, her time in the US will include speaking on Capitol Hill and dialoguing with noted personalities, including Marc Lamont Hill and Amy Goodman. Hosted by CODEPINK and American Muslims for Palestine.
