The State of the Black Child - District of Columbia initiative is committed to assessing and improving the well- being of Black children in the nation's capital. Our mission is to address key areas of impact for Black children across the District: Health, Education, Economic Stability, Digital Safety, Community Safety, Representation and Identity, Resilience and Recovery, Fairness and Equity, Environment, and Housing. Through data-driven analysis, community engagement, and partnerships with stakeholders, we identify disparities and advocate for meaningful change to ensure every Black child in D.C. has the opportunity to thrive.
