Community activist Bill Ayers is joining us on the Busboys stage to share his most recent book, WHEN FREEDOM IS THE QUESTION, ABOLITION IS THE ANSWER. Copies of the book will be available for purchase during and after the event, and Ayers will be signing following the program.
This event is free and open to all. Our program begins at 6:00 pm, and will be followed by an audience Q&A. Bill Ayers is a community activist, an educator, and host of the podcast Under the Tree: A Seminar on Freedom. He has written extensively about social justice and democracy, education and the cultural contexts of schooling, and teaching as an essentially intellectual, ethical, and political enterprise. His books include A Kind and Just Parent, Fugitive Days: A Memoir, and Public Enemy: Confessions of an American Dissident.
