FUNNY ARABS is a DC Stand-up Comedy series, created by Rola Z, in collaboration with Busboys & Poets, featuring an Arab-American Line up of DMV, NYC, LA comedians. Hilarious performers you have seen at the DC Improv, Kennedy Center, NYC Gotham Comedy Club, Yalla Punk Festival, The Moth, Peacock TV and more!

Maysoon Zayid is a comedian, actress, writer, and disability advocate. She is a graduate of Arizona State University and a Princeton Fellow. Maysoon is the co-founder/co-executive producer of the New York Arab American Comedy Festival and The Muslim Funny Fest. She was a full-time On Air Contributor to Countdown with Keith Olbermann and a columnist for The Daily Beast. She has appeared on 60 Minutes, CNN, ABC News, and Oprah Winfrey Networks. Maysoon had the most viewed TED Talk of 2014 and was thrilled to collaborate with Huda Beauty.

As a professional comedian, Maysoon has sold out top New York clubs and has toured extensively at home and abroad. She was a headliner on the Arabs Gone Wild Comedy Tour and The Together Live Tour. Maysoon appeared alongside Adam Sandler in You Don’t Mess With the Zohan and has written for Glamour magazine. She limped in New York Fashion Week and is a recurring character on General Hospital. She is the author of the best-selling memoir Find Another Dream and is collaborating with Scholastic on her debut comic book Shiny Misfits.

Rola Z is the creator of FUNNY ARABS and is a show producer and comedian in DC. She has performed at the NY Arab-American Comedy Festival at the Gotham Comedy Club, DC Improv 'Read the Room' and Montreal clubs including the Wiggle Room. A corporate woman turned comedy show producer (because it’s more fun), Rola is of Lebanese origin and has lived in Greece, Dubai, Cairo, Montreal, and more. IG @ Rola DC Comedy

Eman Morgan is a top Egyptian-American comedian, based in New York City. He performs nightly across the vibrant city at various clubs and mics. He has regularly headlined the New York Arab American Comedy Festival for 11 consecutive years as well as performed internationally in both English and Arabic material. He's back to headline FUNNY ARABS! @emanmorgan

Mahmoud Jaber is a Lebanese-American comedian who has been disappointing his parents by doing Stand-up comedy in Lebanon for 3 years @mahmoudjab.

Yasmin Elhady has toured all over the US and UK. She has performed at The Kennedy Center and has been featured on NBC’s True Story with Ed Helms and Randall Park, now streaming on Peacock. You can catch her Stand-Up comedy on TikTok (100k+ followers) and her comedic skits on IG (@yasminelhahahady). She has also appeared locally on WUSA9 with Reese Waters, NPR, The Washington Post, and in Vice Media’s book “Little America: Incredible True Stories of Immigrants in America,” which was later turned into an Apple TV+ series by Kumail Nanjiani.
