Moral Monday at Busboys and Poets
Busboys and Poets will present a special event with Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II, President and Senior Lecturer of Repairers of the Breach and Co-Chair of the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival.
Rev. Barber will lay out the vision for the Mass Poor People's and Low-Wage Workers Assembly and Moral March on Washington on June 18. June 18 is not simply a day, but a declaration of an ongoing, committed movement to shift the narrative, build power, and enact a moral agenda in which everybody is in, and nobody is out.
He will speak about the interlocking injustices our nation confronts today - systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation and the denial of healthcare, and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism - and what a moral response from below looks like.

The Mass Poor People’s & Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly & Moral March on Washington and to the Polls on June 18, 2022 will be a generationally-transformative declaration of the power of poor and low-wealth people and our moral allies to say that this system is killing ALL of us and we can’t…we won’t…
