Busboys and Poets Presents “MPower Love to MPower Change” on Valentine’s Day

Busboys and Poets will donate a portion of the revenue from the day to MPOWER Change!

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Tuesday February 14th, 2017 Busboys and Poets welcomes MPOWER Change and Linda Sarsour for this Special Valentine’s Day Benefit!  MPower Change is an online organizing platform to build grassroots Muslim power while advancing social, spiritual, racial, & economic justice.
Busboys and Poets stands with immigrants, Muslim communities and asylum seekers of all backgrounds.  So we are thrilled to be able to donate a portion of our revenue from the day to MPOWER Change!  Help us celebrate love by taking a stand against fear and Islamophobia.  Let’s make a difference!

Linda Sarsour is a Palestinian-American activist and executive director of the Arab American Association of New York.  Most recently, she was a co-chair of the hugely successful, 2017 Women’s March in Washington DC.  She is also a plaintiff in Sarsour vs. Trump, a lawsuit against the immigration policy of Donald J. Trump.

Mrs. Sarsour will be speaking at Busboys and Poets’ 14th and V location (2021 14th St NW Washington, DC 20009) on Valentine’s Day from 6PM-8PM.

Join the discussion.  Join the movement. Be an instrument of change.
