Celebrate National Poetry Month with a night of high-impact poetry and powerful voices! Join us for a special slam hosted by award-winning poet and powerhouse performer KaNikki Jakarta.

This isn’t just another open mic—it’s a battle of bars, metaphors, and emotion. A showcase of raw talent, lyrical finesse, and the undeniable magic of spoken word.

🎤 What to Expect:
Two rounds. One mic. A room full of energy.
Poets will go head-to-head in front of a live audience and a panel of randomly selected judges. After the second round, one poet will walk away with the $100 cash prize and eternal bragging rights.

📝 Slam Rules:

  • Poets must arrive 30 minutes before showtime.
  • Names and order of performance will be drawn at random.
  • Each poet gets 3 minutes + 10 seconds grace to perform one original poem. Time penalties apply.
  • No props, costumes, or musical instruments.
  • Poems must be performed solo.
  • Reading from paper or device is allowed (but not as a prop!).
  • 6 poets will be eliminated after Round 1.

🎟️ Tickets:

  • $5.00 online (plus tax & fees)
  • Limited tickets available at the door
