POETRY Open MIC and COMMUNITY DISCUSSION
“HERE WE STAND: PUSHING BACK AGAINST AUTHORITARIANISM in AMERICA”
On Wednesday, APRIL 9, 2025 - 7:00 – 9:00 PM, the University of Maryland’s MLAW Program’s LAW, ART, and ACTIVISM SERIES returns to Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville, Maryland with a program of music, poetry, and community discussion.
The program will include a Q&A with -
- Discussion on the illegal and unconstitutional efforts of the Trump Administration
- Open Mic Poetry, hosted by Brian G. Gilmore, Poet and MLAW Program Senior Lecturer
- Music from bassist, Emory Diggs;
- Remarks from Dr. Robert Koulish, Director, MLAW Program – University of Maryland
Poets bring your poems; we’ve got the microphone!
UMD students can register in advance for travel to and from event from campus.
