What does it take to end a devastating war and build, finally, a lasting peace? Maoz Inon is an Israeli tourism entrepreneur and peace activist who lost both of his parents in the October 7 terrorist attack in Israel. Aziz Abu Sarah is a Palestinian peace activist and conflict resolution expert whose older brother was arrested by Israeli forces, held in prison for nearly a year, and died due to internal injuries sustained while being tortured in prison. The two met after October 7 and have been leading a campaign together against revenge and for peace, meeting diplomats and, recently, the Pope.
They’ve come to DC to connect with members of Congress, the press, and peace activists flocking to the nation’s capital in advance of the Israeli Prime Minister’s upcoming address to a joint session of Congress. They boldly propose a new path to peace, security, equality, and dignity that offers real hope. While Benjamin Netanyahu represents the past, not the future, Aziz and Maoz represent an alternate vision with a blueprint of 5 Core Principles for moving forward.
Countering Netanyahu, Aziz and Maoz offer a shared vision, one that they’re urging the U.S. government and American communities to support.
Come out for a night of discussion, connection, and community building with Aziz and Maoz leaders of the peace movement. The two will share their background and political vision, and then the floor will be turned over for audience Q&A.
