Levi Tillemann and Robbie Diamond- The Great Race
Takoma | Nicolás Guillén Room | March 10, 2015 | 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

The son of an inventor and co-founder of IRIS engines, which worked to develop a better combustion engine, Tillemann has been thinking about the car of the future nearly all his life. Now a New America Foundation fellow, Tillemann draws on his entrepreneurial past and his policy experience as former Energy Department special advisor to chronicle the three-way contest for the global automotive market in his new book, The Great Race. The contenders are China, Japan, and the U.S.; Tillemann profiles all three, and bets on the Americans, who have the edge with a contingent of innovative Californians. (Simon & Schuster)

Tillemann will be in conversation with Robbie Diamond, founder, president, and CEO of Securing America’s Future Energy.
