A Girl’s Guide to Joining the Resistance with Busboys and Poets Books
5th & K | Cullen Room | April 1, 2018 | 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Please join Busboys and Poets Books as we welcome author Emma Gray to 5th and K.

So—the presidential election of 2016 happened. You cried, you ranted, you marched. But how do you stay engaged for the long term? How do you keep fighting while also continuing your real life? How do you get involved when you feel far from the action? How do you stay vigilant without being furious all. the. time? Needing to take action after the election, Emma Gray, Senior Women's Reporter at HuffPost, put on her journalist hat and set out to get answers to these questions from some of the most prominent thought leaders and activists of our time. She'll dive into how we can all stay engaged in the fights that matter most without losing our minds in the process.

Emma Gray is a senior reporter focused on women's issues at HuffPost, and the author of "A Girl's Guide To Joining The Resistance." She is also the co-host of the "Bachelor"-themed podcast, "Here To Make Friends," which was named a "must-listen" by The Daily Dot, and has appeared as an expert on the Today Show, Good Morning America, The Insider and Entertainment Tonight. Emma is an alum of McGill University in Montreal, which is probably why she has such a soft spot for poutine and St. Viateur bagels.

Books will be available for purchase before and after the event. Please email books@busboysandpoets.com with questions.
