Rich Rubenstein will talk about his new book, Resolving Structural Conflicts: How Violent Systems Can Be Transformed. The book addresses the question of whether our socioeconomic system generates violence and, if so, what can be done about it. How can we think creatively about our nation's underlying social problems in the Age of Trump and personality politics? What kind of politics now makes the most sense?

Film Series: Cinema for a Conscious Community.  Arlington Green Party invites you to a screening of the award-winning documentary Salam Neighbor about the plight of Syrians living in the Za’atari refugee camp. We will watch the film as an entre to a broader discussion about war and the global refugee crisis led by a panel of experts.

Act Out is a monthly Theatrical Action Series that takes place in bars and theaters across DC. It was created to give artists a chance to embrace, engage, or rage at current events and the political climate through theater, spoken word, poetry, and music. Act Out welcomes artists of all creeds, and strives to be aggressively inclusive. We encourage artists of any race, religion, sex, gender, orientation, nationality, and political perspective to submit their work and participate.
