Obama wins Ohio!!! And, a good night to run a restaurant
With Pennsylvania and Ohio in the bag, it’s all but over for the Republicans.
I can’t help thinking, it must be a good night for Andy Shallal, the Iraqi-American who runs this place. Running any small business is a stressful affair, with tugs in all directions from customers, staffers, landlords, and creditors, but there have to be nights where the joint is jumping, people are happy, the food and drinks are streaming out of the kitchen and bar, and Community reigns. So, thanks, Andy, for keeping the place warm for us.
It’s looking very, very good. Obama has 194 electoral votes to McCain’s 69. I’m waiting for the magic number: 270. And I’m very optimistic about that other number, 60.
