Hagan ahead of Dole, 57% to 40%
…which is very good news, even though the percentage of ballots counted is still low. Dole ran a loathsome campaign, accusing her opponent of being “godless.” Wow, I want to see the Republicans go down in North Carolina, where I wore out a lot of shoe leather fighting Jesse Helms.
With 1% of ballots in Texas, Obama is neck-and-neck in Texas. Wouldn’t that be something? But nah, it’ll never happen. Not in Texas.
But CNN just called Pennsylvania for Obama!!! With Pennsylvania in the Dem column, the race would be all but over, because McCain simply cannot win without Pennsylvania. People very happy here in Busboys and Poets, cheering and clapping.
